Rite Aid Deal Johnson and Johnson and much more!

So between waiting on something to be printed at Staples and going to a coupon class I hit Rite Aid yesterday afternoon. Man what a deal! Here's what I did:

8- Johnson and Johnson baby products (body wash, lotion, bubble bath) Buy 1/$4.49 and 2nd for 1 penny!
  - 8 $1/1 Johnson and Johnson coupons
4- Combos $0.99
  - 2  $1/2 coupons
20- Mars candy bars Buy 1/ $0.88 get the 2nd for 1 penny!
  - 10 $1/2 coupons

- Rite Aid $5/$25

Total before coupons and sale prices: $58.68
Total after coupons and sale prices: $5.86 plus tax!

That's right I saved 90%!

Great Money Maker at Target on razors and body wash!

In need of razors ladies...spring is on the way along with sundresses and sandals! Check out this deal on razors and body wash that will make you money!

I went this afternoon and got this deal!

3- Venus Embrace or Spa Breeze Razors (these are NOT the disposables) $4.99
  - $2/1 any Venus razor system (PG 2/7/10) x3
3- Olay Body wash
  - Buy any Venus razor and get Olay body wash free! (PG 2/7/10) x3 $5.50

Total before coupons: $31.44
OOP after coupons: $8.97 plus tax
-$5 GC (cannot be used on this transaction!)
-$15 Olay MIR (click here to get form)
That is a $11 MONEY MAKER!

Just an FYI: If you go to get this deal make sure you get your $5 gift card. It did not automatically pop up like it normally does, we had to get a manager to come over and key it in (which she was happy to do!) Also, the tags at the D'Iberville store are a little confusing with the body wash so make sure that you are getting the body wash that says $5.59/$5.50 because those are the ones that get the gift card.

How did I win my $10 you might ask. Well I've been collecting those Enjoy the Ride stickers on the inside of Allyson's diapers and wipes. You go to Enjoy the Ride enter in the codes and play for cool prizes. Nothing to (except for the diapers!). I've already won some free mp3 downloads before.

That was a nice little happy to have in the mailbox!

Want to get free coupons?

Want to get more coupons for free? There is a way! It takes a little of your time and some typing but it can be done.

What to do: All companies like to get feedback from their customers whether it is a complaint, compliment or comment. 9 times out of 10 these companies will take the time to send you coupons.

How to do it: E-Mail! Here are some basic tips on what to say.
1. Be specific! Tell each company why you like/dislike or you've never tried their
product and you want too.
2. Make it personal. Include how their product makes your life easier, how you use
it or that your kids love it.
3. Be polite and thank them for making the product and taking the time to read you
letter.
4. Don't lie! If you don't have a complaint, don't make one up! But if you do have
a legitimate complaint make sure you have the package handy! Companies always
want to know where the problem lies. For example I got a bad can of Campbells
soup about a month ago. I called and complained and they sent me 2 coupons for
$3 off ALL Campbells products. It was worth the call!

I'll be keeping a list of who I email and what I receive in return.

Here's the first round of companies to email. Just click on their name to go to their website. Make sure you check out these sites for IP coupons available now!

Bathromitis!

This blog originally started out as a way to post everyday happenings with my family, but turned into the coupon blog you see today. But in keeping with what House of Collums originally started as, here is the latest thing out of my daughter's mouth:

My daughter Molly has bathromitis! We go in every bathroom, in every store, every time we go somewhere! We were in Target today when she discovered the feminine hygiene machine and began to read! "T-A-M-P-O-N-S. Mom what's that spell?" I told her it's something adults use and not to worry about it right now. Then I hear, "Hey look! They have napkins in here! And they are only 25 cents! That's why they have that garbage can right there, so after you wipe off your face with that napkin you can throw it away. Hey mom, do we need any napkins?" I wanted to flush myself down the toilet as I listened to the other bathroom patrons giggle in the stalls!

Publix Ad for 2/4-2/10 at iheartpublix

Check out iheartpublix for a sneak peak at what the sales will be at Publix this week. Sale starts Thursday 2/4 and runs through Wednesday 2/10. Remember best days to go (according to their staff is Tuesday mornings, Thursday mornings and Saturday mornings. I'll be making a trip if anyone wants to tag along!

Food World Coupon Policy

On my way to Publix I stopped at Food World. They had some good deals this week!

$0.99 eggs
B1G1 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Ground chuck $1.79 lb.

I found the store to be not as nice as Winn Dixie or Publix but they had good deals and they have a good coupon policy. I have NOT tried to coupon there at this time so I don't know what the experience will be like. Here is their policy:

1. DOUBLE coupons everyday up to $0.50. Up to 10 coupons can be doubled, after that they are face value.
2. They take manufacturer and internet printable coupons.
3. You can use 2 coupons on B1G1.

There were a few other things too, but these were the most important.
