New Week of deals 6/13-6/19
I'm going to say the same thing I do every week. There are GREAT deals to be had at all the stores, but ONLY buy them if it's something you use or can use..don't buy it just because it's a good deal. And again, I personally do not buy anything else "new" or that I haven't tried unless it's free BEFORE ECB's and RR's.

Do you buy Capri Suns? You may want to rethink it! UPDATE!
Kraft update on their Facebook page:
I've been slowly trying to move my family towards more natural products. Organic milk, organic beef, etc. The one thing we've not given up is Capri Suns. This is not something I would normally do, but we are Capri Sun drinkers (by "we" I mean my 7 year old) and this just grossed me out! I won't be buying anymore Capri Suns no matter what "this" ends up being classified! I've hear people say skin, a rotten apple and a number of other things! Either way, it's not something I want to find inside my child's drink!
A Mom in Florida found this inside her daughter's capri sun pouch! You can view more pictures and see the discussion of the steps she has taken to identify this object here. She has contacted the FDA and the health department. Samples have been sent off and they are waiting on results.
I've hear people say skin, a rotten apple and a number of other things! Either way, it's not something I want to find inside my child's drink!
I'll keep ya'll updated whenever "it" is identified!
"It’s Vinay with Capri Sun again. I wanted to share some news I just got. After our quality experts determined the sample was mold, we asked an independent lab for an analysis too. Silliker, Inc. – a leading, accredited food testing lab – confirmed it is mold. I’m not trying to say mold isn’t gross, but a second opinion is a good thing."

Want to get free coupons? Here's how!
For about 3 months now I've been emailing companies each week telling them one of three things: I love, hate or want to try their products. Of all the companies I've email, I have received some form of coupon from all but three and 9 times out of 10 the coupons are for FREE products! I think that 5 minutes of my time once a week is worth FREE stuff! Do you?
Today I received 2 coupons for FREE baby food from Nature's Goodness just because I emailed them to say Allyson loves their pumpkin and pear baby food.
1. Be specific! Tell each company why you like/dislike or you've never tried their
product and you want too.
2. Make it personal. Include how their product makes your life easier, how you use
it or that your kids love it.
3. Be polite and thank them for making the product and taking the time to read you
letter.
4. Don't lie! If you don't have a complaint, don't make one up! But if you do have
a legitimate complaint make sure you have the package handy! Companies always
want to know where the problem lies. For example I got a bad can of Campbells
soup about a month ago. I called and complained and they sent me 2 coupons for
$3 off ALL Campbells products. It was worth the call!
Here's a list of all the companies I've emailed:
All Laundry Detergent
Sister Schubert Huggies
Michelina's
Clorox
Kraft-be product specific
Gerber
Gillette Venus Razors
Glade
Skinny Cow
Nature's Goodness Baby food
Aussie
Bunny Bread
Good Luck!

Want to get more coupons for free?
What to do: All companies like to get feedback from their customers whether it is a complaint, compliment or comment. 9 times out of 10 these companies will take the time to send you coupons.
How to do it: E-Mail! Here are some basic tips on what to say.

New Giveaway!
Be watching tomorrow! I'll be posting a new giveaway! Here's a hint it has to do with kids and 4th of July!
Frugal Noodle Dinner
With all this money saving going on and sometimes buying food that we don't normally eat, I'm being forced to experiment. Not an easy thing to do in a houseful of picky eaters! I have had an over abundance of ramen noodles for a few weeks now. We've been slowly whittling away at the stash one package at a time for lunch, but I needed to put a dent in this soon!
In my daily jaunts online, reading obscure and relatively unknown (well unknown to me!) blogs, I came across The Coupon Goddess. Yeah the one I posted about the other day. Well in addition to her coupon posts, Melanie also posts some great recipes. Remind you of anyone else...**clears throat**..anyway she had this great recipe posted and it looked yummy! Yes!! Solving two problems: feeding the family and making room in my pantry! Oh and my final cost was $4.50 to feed six people (and a dog!), so that's 75 cents a serving!
Above is what Melanie at The Coupon Goddess made. *Note to self: Go buy some batteries for your camera!Of course mine didn't look this pretty, but you get the idea! It was absolutely delicious! You can check out her recipe here. I'm including my tweaked version of this recipe, because Rule #1 of being frugal..use what you have on hand!
Frugal Noodles
4 packs ramen noodles (chicken or beef), reserve two packets of seasoning
1 lb. chicken or beef, cooked and chopped
2 T. olive oil
1 package frozen snow peas
1 package frozen broccoli crowns
1 bell pepper, sliced in strips
1 small onion, sliced in strips
1 T. garlic, minced
1 tsp. ginger powder
1/2 c. soy sauce
pinch white sugar
1 T. rice vinegar
black pepper
Heat olive oil in LARGE pot. Saute garlic for a minute in hot oil before adding vegetables and meat. While meat and veggies are heating, mix together 2 seasoning packets, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, pepper, garlic and ginger. Drizzle some of the sauce over the top. You can either boil all the noodles together or use the containers provided. (The noodles I had came in containers you can cook the noodles in the microwave...why dirty another pan?)Saute until vegetables are semi-tender. Add the cooked noodles and pour the rest of the sauce over all. I know it doesn't look like much sauce but trust me! Stir; cook about 5 minutes.
